Young and old alike benefit from the village, a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the Palm Beach area, all the while maintaining its charm with its picturesque setting. An incorporated village with a population of almost 6,000 people, it’s the northernmost municipality in the South Florida metro area and has become known as a great vacation spot as well as a great place to live and work.

History
Dr. Charles Martyn and friend wished to create a retirement community, so along with his friends, he tried to create a “Village of Jupiter Beach” and moved to incorporate the area of the present day Tequesta Country Club Community into the Jupiter area. Although it didn’t happen, eventually the Village of Tequesta was created.
In an amazingly short span of just over 50 years, Tequesta has grown from an unfinished settlement of stout hearted founders to a bustling modern village. With is population of almost 6,000, Tequesta has grown with its residents. The 60’s saw rapid development of the area and the 70’s brought in more merchants opening for business.
The 90’s had brought rapid change and with multi-family developments bringing in a younger generation, Tequesta today is a multi-generational community, ready for the 21st century with its modern facilities, great attraction and booming businesses.
